ABOUT JUNE

I am lucky to call Poestenkill home and am proud to have been raised in this caring community where my family has remained since the 1800's. Like my family, I care deeply about the town and the wonderful place we call home. Change of course is inevitable, but it must be done with proper planning, thoughtful consideration, and appropriate action so that we maintain the quality of life we enjoy here in Poestenkill. Over the years numerous family members have served the town in many capacities. I hope to do likewise once again as your voice on the Town Board. I am honored to have been nominated to serve another term, and am fully committed to the town and its residents.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS TOWN BOARD MEMBER

Highway Liason

In collaboration with the Highway Superintendent inventoried / photographed all highway vehicles in preparation for replacement or sale, and prepared a 5 year road maintenance plan for submittal to the State

Suggested alternative health insurance plans for employees with a cost savings to the Town

Suggested limiting new hires to individual insurance plans thereby saving tax dollars for family plans that current employees now receive

Inventoried street light outages and submitted to National Grid for either bulb replacement or a billing credit

Planning and Zoning Board

Attend all Planning and Zoning Board meetings on behalf of the Town Board to keep abreast of any issues that might come before the Board

Barberville Natural Resource Area Committee

Served as Chair of the Committee to ascertain the pros and cons of acquiring a parcel of land from the Nature Conservancy

Internet / Cable

In conjunction with Charter Communications I continue to seek service for our rural residents who lack current technology

Town Code

Served on the committee to revise and update the Town Code which was then made available to the public via the Town's website. Researched and assisted the Town Attorney with revisions to the town zoning laws for Wood Operations
